Privacy policy

This document describes how we handle personal data at frontprep.com. It also contains contact information in case you want us to delete your data. It’s written with clarity in mind, so it should be easy to follow. At frontprep.com we’re dedicated to keep your data safe, and we only collect information you explicitly share with us. If you have any other questions which aren’t answered in this document, don’t hesitate to reach out via email (support@frontprep.com), and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Who is collecting the data?

The data is colleted at frontprep.com, a website which is owned and operated by the NIRMAAN BUILDWELL.

What data is being collected?

The only personal data we collect is the data you give to us in the signup process which is email address, and any data you explicitly add to your user profile like your name.

If you sign up via GitHub we receive the fields GitHub returns through the standard OAuth scope: your email, name, avatar URL, and GitHub user ID. We do not request or store any additional GitHub profile fields.

When you are using the app, we are creating data that reflects how you are interacting with the app. This includes which questions you solve, the interactions you have in the website, and your saved bookmarks.

To power the streak module, we record the dates on which you solve questions, the dates on which you use a repair credit to restore a missed day, and your remaining repair credit balance. This data drives the calendar, your current and best streak counts, and the repair controls.

To show your ranking, we run an aggregate query across all users to compute how your total number of solved questions compares to everyone else. You only ever see your own percentile. We do not expose other users' identities, solved counts, or ranks to you.

If you contact us through the in-app feedback or support forms, we store the message you sent along with your email and the page or question context so we can follow up with you.

We use Razorpay for payments. The Razorpay javascript is loaded when you start the payment flow.

Cookies

We use a Session Cookie to keep you signed in between page loads and sessions. We use Supabase for authentication which uses cookies to keep you signed in.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate traffic and page performance (such as page views and web vitals). These measurements are processed by Vercel. We do not pass personal profile data to these tools beyond what Vercel collects by default for any visitor. You can read Vercel's privacy practices at https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

What is the legal basis for processing the data?

The legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent when signing up for Front Prep. The only personal data you share with us is the details you share in the signup process and explicitly add to your user profile.

How will the information be used?

The information is currently only used to aggregate statistics on how Front Prep is used in general. Example on this is: which question does people visit frequently?’ or ‘how many questions are solved in a day?’.

In the future it might be used to give logged-in users content recommendations.

How long will the data be stored for?

The data will be stored until the user asks us to delete it.

What rights does the data subject have?

You can at any given time ask us to delete your data, and we’ll fullfill your request without questions.

How can the data subject raise a complaint?

If you want us to delete your data please send an email to support@frontprep.com and we’ll delete it.
