Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data FrontPrep collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can have it deleted. If anything here is unclear, email support@frontprep.com.

Who we are

FrontPrep (frontprep.com) is owned and operated by NIRMAAN BUILDWELL. You can reach us at support@frontprep.com.

What we collect

Account. When you sign up with an email link we store your email address. When you sign up with GitHub we receive and store what GitHub returns through its standard sign-in: your email, name, username, avatar URL, and GitHub user ID. We never see your GitHub password and we do not access your repositories.

Activity. We record which questions you mark as solved, your bookmarks, the dates on which you solve questions, the dates on which you use a repair credit to restore a missed day, and your remaining repair credits. This drives your progress, the streak calendar, and your current and best streak counts.

Ranking. To show your ranking we compare your total number of solved questions with the totals of all users. You only see your own percentile. We do not show other users' identities, solved counts, or ranks to you, and we do not show yours to them.

Payments. When you buy a membership we store the order ID, payment ID, amount, currency, plan, and the start and end dates of your membership. Razorpay processes the payment. We do not store your card number, UPI ID, or bank details.

Support and feedback. If you use the feedback or support forms, we store your message, your email, the name you enter, and the page or question it relates to, so we can reply.

Location. We use the country your request comes from to choose the currency shown on the pricing page. We store only the resulting currency, in a cookie on your device. Our hosting provider also processes your IP address to deliver the site.

Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies for three things: sign-in cookies from Supabase that keep you logged in, a currency cookie that remembers which currency to show prices in, and a layout cookie that remembers whether you prefer the split or scroll view. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We also keep some data in your browser's local storage so the site loads faster and remembers your setup: the code you write in the editor, your editor settings, panel layout, and a cached copy of your progress and bookmarks. The code you write in the editor stays in your browser and is not sent to our servers. You can clear all of this at any time from your browser settings.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that run FrontPrep:

  1. Supabase stores our database and handles sign-in. All account, activity, membership, and support data lives there.
  2. Vercel hosts the site and provides Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which measure aggregate page views and page performance. See https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  3. Razorpay processes payments. When you start a payment we send Razorpay your email address and the order details. The Razorpay checkout script loads wherever we show the upgrade panel. See https://razorpay.com/privacy.
  4. GitHub confirms your identity if you choose to sign in with it.
  5. jsDelivr and unpkg deliver the open-source libraries that the code editor needs. Your browser requests these files directly, so these services see your IP address.

These providers may process data on servers outside your country.

How we use your data

We use your data to sign you in, save your progress, streak, and bookmarks, take payment and give you access to paid content, reply to your support and feedback messages, and measure how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not use it for advertising.

Legal basis

We process most of your data because we need it to provide the service you signed up for and to complete your purchases. Aggregate analytics relies on our legitimate interest in improving the site. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you ask us to delete your account we remove your profile, progress, streak, bookmarks, membership and order records, and any feedback or support messages sent from your email. Razorpay keeps its own records of payments under its own policy, and we may keep records that the law requires us to keep.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@frontprep.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, email support@frontprep.com and we will look into it. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Children

FrontPrep is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page.
